British Columbia

Recreational Respite offers care to individuals and their families in British Columbia.

Respite Services Offered

We are a direct service provider with BC Autism Funding.

Recreational Respite works with individuals and their families who face any barriers to participation in their community due to disability, mental health, displacement, injury, isolation, chronic illness or disorder. Our Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist will assess and identify ways to address barriers that exist through various approaches in one-to-one or group settings. Skilled Community Engagement Providers strive for positive change and to reach desired outcomes through person-centred engagement. We include the needs, abilities, strengths and interests of every individual we support and every approach we take through recreation. This ensures that targeted goals for social health, mental health, emotional wellness, and life skills are achieved.

We provide respite support to children, youth, adults and older adults with disabilities, mental health and memory impairment in the following areas: Lower Mainland, Okanagan, Vancouver Island, Interior British Columbia, Northern British Columbia.
