“Living Longer, Living Well” report

TORONTO, March 13, 2013 /CNW/ – Toronto Central Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) commends expert lead for Ontario’s Seniors Strategy Dr. Samir K. Sinha on his report, “Living Longer, Living Well” which includes a series of recommendations designed to help seniors stay healthy and live at home longer.

The population of seniors in Canada increased more than 14 per cent between 2006 and 2011.1 Within the next 30 years, the proportion of people over the age of 80 is expected to increase considerably, and the number of seniors with a disability and requiring assistance could double.
