RecreACTIVE program in support of Mental Health!

We are excited to share a community outreach event that is a part of our RecreACTIVE guide.  created in support of adults with mental health concerns living in Toronto, ON (Leaside).  Recreational Respite offers both one to one therapeutic recreation support and unique therapeutic recreation group based programs of which are design specifically for the needs of the participants.

This particular event was created in partnership with the Residences of Bayview who facilitates the pursuit of recovery and the highest possible level of independence for those with serious and persistent mental health illnesses. This RecreACTIVE program was created to increase their community participation, self of worth and role in their community and overall emotional and mental well being.  The event is called ‘Paws for the Cause’.

Come and join us from 10:00am – 1:00pm on Saturday June 22, 2013 at St. Cuthbert’s Church (corner of St. Cuthbert’s and Bayview) 1399 Bayview Ave, Toronto, ON and bring your Dog(s),  to have him or her photographed for a donation to the Lions Foundation of Canada Guide Dogs.
